Some characters are created and stay where they are. Katharina is not one of them.
She appeared early. One of the first voices from the Ashen Wyrd that felt clear enough to entrust something to her. And what was entrusted to her was music.
In her story, Katharina is the songwriter and lead singer of Nocturne Vale. That's not a detail, that's her core. Music is not what she does, it's who she is. And because that was the case, I couldn't help but follow this logic.
So, one track was created. Then another. Then an album.
"The Liminal" is not my music about Katharina. It is Katharina's music, as I understand it, as I felt it while her story grew. Each track comes from her perspective, from moments in her world, from decisions she made and things that happened to her.
There are tracks that haven't been released. Not because they're not finished, but because they reveal too much. Anyone who doesn't know Katharina's story yet would understand some things too soon. And some things are only meant to be understood when the time is right.
Nocturne Vale grows at the pace at which Katharina's story is allowed to be told.
That's how the Ashen Wyrd works. The characters determine what is created. Not the other way around.
